A clean slate. A fresh start. A new beginning.
When we are trying to conceive of a new concept that will “change the world” (especially in sales, marketing or productivity,) we are giddy and apprehensive on the work that lies ahead.
We know what we do, don’t we? We sit at our favorite place; we have all the comforts that make us feel cozy and comfortable, and now we think hard about what we have to do to have this new aspect be extraordinarily useful, sleek and, to be frank, profitable.
But there’s a catch; almost like we were hyperventilating, we have so many thoughts in our brain about being effective and “on the right path” that it leads to worrisome deliberation and doubt.
Although, as we calm ourselves down, (because it only takes a second to overthink what we are doing to get frenetic,) we realized that we have so many options to assist us.
- Research – observe the fresh and cutting edge analysis of our field. What are the experts doing and saying that would be advantageous for our project?
- Competitors assets and liabilities – what are our competitors “hot buttons” both negatively and positively of their business or avenues of your productivity? This may lead us to even several bigger strategic advantages.
- Influencing leaders – who do the”guru” in our field who will assist us with excellent reasoning or insight.
Before we know it, we are confident and decisive once again. We know that the first step of our thought processes was well-built and on solid ground.
The foundation is firm.
